If you are applying for further leave to remain in the UK on a Student visa, you are required to show that you have progressed academically during your studies.
If you are unable to show that you have "academically progressed" you are required to return home to make a new Student visa application.
You are exempt from academic progression if:
You will be asked further questions in relation to your academic progression. You may also be required to upload information confirming you have returned home. In such cases we require:
Interruption of study
If you are returning from an Interruption of Study you must provide evidence that you returned to your home country during your interruption. This evidence includes your flight ticket(s) and an entry stamp from your passport (where applicable) or a flight boarding pass.
YOU MAY LOAD UP TO A MAXIMUM OF 5 FILES
Switching Immigration Category
If youcurrently have a visitor visa you will not be able to switch immigration category whilst in the United Kingdom. It is advisable that you discuss with your school an appropriate timeframe to leave the UK and return to your home country to make a Student Visa application if you have not already done so before your current leave expires. Remember it can take up to 3 weeks to process a Student Visa application from overseas (and longer during peak periods).
Leaving the UK to make a new visa application may, in some instances, require you to take an interruption of study.
In order for us to assess your CAS application you will need to provide us with evidence that you have returned home. This evidence includes your flight tickets and an entry stamp from your passport (where applicable) or a flight boarding pass.
If you have had a Student visa application refused you must upload a copy of the visa refusal document(s) here.
Please note if you have been refused a Student visa you may be asked to provide further documents upon assessment of the reason for refusal.
